The Staten Island FerryHawks have signed former Tottenville High School (Staten Island, N.Y.) baseball alum Kevin Krause for the upcoming 2023 Atlantic League of Professional Baseball (ALPB) season, today the team Tweeted.
The Staten Island native briefly spent time with the FerryHawks early last campaign, hitting .308 with one home run and six RBI in 26 at-bats in 10 contests. He also laced .338 with 10 dingers and 36 runs driven in, in 148 at-bats in 40 tilts with the Gateway Grizzlies of the American Assocation during the same year.
Before that, the 30-year-old catcher slashed .341/.392/.551 with 13 home runs and 55 RBI in 305 at-bats in 77 games for Fargo-Moorhead in 2021.
He also played college ball at Stony Brook University in Long Island, N.Y. Additionally, Krause is a three-time Staten Island Advance All-Star, given to the top High School players in the borough.
