August Martin High School Football senior Nicholas Fonseca has received an offer from the Division III Buffalo State Bengals, who will hold a roster spot for him for the upcoming season, today he Tweeted.
The 6-foot, 270-pound Fonseca, who sports a 3.0 GPA, was an integral part of a lockdown defense which helped lead the PSAL Cup Conference Falcons to a 7-0 league record and the playoffs, the first for Head Coach Kyle Allen at the school.
He made 35 tackles, 16 for a loss, five sacks, and two fumble recoveries, one of which he returned for a touchdown.
Buffalo State posted a 0-10 overall record and went 0-6 in State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) action in the 2021-22 campaign.
