With a year left of college hoops eligibly, guard Tareq Coburn is entering the transfer portal after playing the last three seasons with the Hofstra Pride Men’s Basketball program, today VerbalCommits.com Tweeted.
Coburn averaged 15.1 points, 3.8 rebounds, and 1.2 steals per game in 21 games this past season. For his three years at Hofstra, the 6-foot-5, 205-pound Queens native averaged 10.8 points and 4.5 boards per tilt.
Before Hofstra, Coburn played in 12 games as a freshman with St. Bonaventure.
Coburn attended Cardozo High School in Queens, where he was named Honorable Mention All-New York State as a senior. He helped the Judges to a 27-3 record and a Queens Division PSAL championship.
