St. John’s Transfer Josh Roberts Headed to Manhattan Hoops


Former St. John’s (NY) junior forward Josh Roberts is transferring to Manhattan College (NY) Men’s Basketball program, today Andrew Slater Tweeted.

St. John’s transfer Josh Roberts is leaving the school for Manhattan College Basketball.

The 6-foot-9, 220-pound Roberts had interest from a number of Division 1 programs including UCF, USF, South Alabama, Troy, Towson, LSU, Murray State, NKU, Georgia State, FIU, and Western Kentucky, per Tweet.

Roberts appeared in 25 games and made 17 starts, averaging 2.6 points and 2.7 rebounds in 10.7 minutes per contest. Additionally, he fired a team-best 64.4 percent from the floor, and ranked second on the squad with 19 blocks.

Roberts played basketball at national powerhouse Montverde Academy Prep, where he was a member of the prep national team under Head Coach Kevin Boyle.

The Jaspers finished with a 7-13 overall record and went 6-12 in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) this past season.
