Staten Island’s Nicole Melious Receives Offers from Iowa State, Oklahoma Basketball

Nicole Melious, on the heels of a great summer with AAU Hoopers NY, has picked up offers from two top hoop colleges: Iowa State and Oklahoma, yesterday Hoopers NY Tweeted.

Melious–a sophomore guard who plays for Staten Island’s Susan Wagner High School–is enjoying all of the hard work she has been putting forth, and now has over 30 offers from schools across the country.

Melious’s college list includes offers from the likes of Vanderbilt University, University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, Hawaiʻi at Mānoa, Rutgers, Quinnipiac, Seton Hall, Fordham, University of Denver, Manhattan College, US Naval Academy, University of Loyal Chicago, Syracuse, UNC Asheville, Georgia Tech, Butler, Ohio State, Xavier, Purdue, FDU, among others.

The 5-foot-8 Melious enjoyed a tremendous freshman year with Susan Wagner, averaging a little under 28 points, seven rebounds, and seven assists per game for the 24-3 Lady Falcons.

Plus, Melious drained 39 points in a PSAL Class A playoff win versus Midwood.
