USA TODAY High School Sports staff came out with its Super 25 Regional High School girls’ preseason rankings, selecting the best programs in the northeast area today, among four other sections.
The good news? Four New York/New Jersey area teams made the list.
Coming off a New York State Federation Class AA Championship last season, the Christ the King Lady Royals of Middle Village, New York (18-4), took the No. 4 spot on the list.
Christ the King will feature Notre Dame-bound 6-foot-5 standout forward Natalija Marshall.
The South Shore Lady Vikings of Brooklyn, New York (24-3), have landed on the sixth spot of the list.
The Lady Vikings have captured five straight Public School Athletic League (PSAL), New York City’s public high school’s athletic govern body, titles.
A fantastic addition to South Shore, point guard Kateri Poole, a five-star recruit, is committed to Ohio State University.
The Blair Academy Lady Buccaneers, in Blairstown, New Jersey (9-6), was ranked number eight on the list. The Lady Buccaneers won the Mid Atlantic Prep League (MAPL) title last year.
Junior point guard Olvia Miles is already turning heads, as she’s No. 2 overall on ESPN’s top 100 players’ list while sitting atop of the list at her position in her 2021 class.
No. 10. St. Rose, located in Belmar, New Jersey (28-3), made it to the Tournament of Champions, pushing eventual winners Franklin to the brink in the semifinals.
Brynn Farrell, a Florida commit, will highlight a talent crop of talented players.
