Prior to joining the Ducks, the 29-year-old spent parts of three seasons in the Major Leagues. He made one appearance with the Mets in 2015, eight with the Atlanta Braves in 2017 and nine with the Los Angeles Angels in 2018.

Frias, 35, first became a part of Long Island in 2019. He played a career-best 128 contests and stole a career-high 28 bases while totaling eight homers, 34 RBI, 53 runs, 99 hits, 16 doubles and four triples. He then hit .267 and scored six runs in eight playoff games, helping the Ducks capture the Atlantic League crown.
