Former St. Francis Brooklyn guard and Paterson, New Jersey native Di’Andre Howell-South is transferring to Wagner College Seahawks (N.Y.) basketball program, today VerbalCommits.com Tweeted.
A 6-foot-4 guard, Howell-South made the NEC All-Rookie team after averaging 6.2 points as a red-shirted freshman last season.
Howell-South attended Immaculate Conception High School in Montclair, NJ., where he averaged 14.6 points, 10 rebounds, and 1.2 assists per game for the Lions as senior. He paced the squad in rebounds (150) during his that same year, helping them go undefeated in the SEC-American Conference, upended top teams such as Don Bosco Prep, Seton Hall Prep, and Columbia. He also starred on the AAU circuit for the NJ Shoreshots.
Wagner posted a 15-13 overall record and went 8-8 in Northeast Conference (NEC) play in the 2022-23 campaign.
