Division I New Jersey Insititute of Technology (NJIT) Mens’ basketball program yesterday received shots in the arm, as Manhattan transfers Daniel Schreier and Elijah Buchanan have both pledged to join NJIT, per Tweets.
Schreier, a 6-foot-9 forward and grad student, averaged 1.4 points and 1.1 rebounds in 14 games, while Buchanan, a 6-foot-5 guard and grad student, averaged 11 points and 5.2 boards in five contests.
Schreier, a Santa Monica, California, native, played high school hoops at Vermont Academy in Vermont, while Buchanan, a Bronx native, starred at Mount St. Michael (Bronx) and Woodstock Academy in Connecticut.
The Highlanders posted a 7-23 record and went 4-12 in America East Conference (AEC) play in the 2022-23 season.
