Iona Hoops Lands Southern Transfer Terrell Williams Jr.

Iona continues to build its 2023-24 roster, as former Southern University forward Terrell Williams, Jr. is transferring to the Gaels Mens’ basketball program, today he Tweeted.

Colorado Colorado Springs, Texas-Permian Basin and Clark Atlanta had previously recruited Williams before he committed to Southern, per VerbalCommits.com. The 6-foot-5, 200-pounder attended Mansfield High School in Mansfield, Texas.

Williams averaged 7.2 points and grabbed 4.2 rebounds per game last season with the Jaguars.

Iona, now under the tutelage of former FDU head coaching darling Toben Anderson, posted a 27-8 overall record and went 17-3 in Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) action in the 2022-23 campaign.
