Leetch, considered one of the best defensemen to ever lace up a pair of skates, played 18 National Hockey League (NHL) seasons with the Rangers, Toronto Maple Leafs and Boston Bruins.
A New York first-round selection in the 1986 NHL Draft out of Boston College, the-now 55-year-old scored 247 goals, had 781 assists and 1028 points with a +/- 25 in 1205 contests.
He captured his lone Stanley Cup with the Rangers in 1994. The NHL inducted Leetch into its Hall of Fame in 2009.
