The Gastonia Honey Hunters today have re-inked ex-New York Met infielder Jack Reinheimer for the upcoming 2023 Atlantic League season, the team has Tweeted.
Reinheimer, 30, played with the Mets in 2018, collecting five hits and scoring four runs with a stolen base in 30 at-bats in 21 games.
Reinheimer enjoyed a terrific 2022 season with Gastonia, slugging 34 doubles and 12 home runs while stealing 55 bases to go along with a solid .806 OPS in 121 games.
Additionally, the Atlantic League named Reinheimer to the 2022 All Star and All-Defensive Teams.
The Charlotte, N.C., native also suited up for the Arizona Diamondbacks in 2017.
The Atlanta Braves selected Reinheimer in the 31st round of the 2010 MLB June Amateur Draft out of Ardrey Kell High School in Charlotte, N.C.
