Former Central Connecticut State sophomore guard/forward Andre Snoddy is transferring to Division I Stony Brook Mens’ basketball program, yesterday he Tweeted.
The 6-6, 210-pound Long Island native will be returning home after scoring 9.5 points and grabbing 8.4 rebounds per game in 32 contests for the Blue Devils in the 2022-23 season. Snoddy was a six-time Rookie of the Week at Central Connecticut State.
Snoddy attended St. Thomas More School in Oakdale, Ct., after he went to St. Anthony’s High School in Huntington Station, N.Y., where averaged 20.0 points, 10.0 boards and 5.0 assists as a junior.
The Friars captured the Catholic High School Athletic Assocation (CHSAA) Division A championship and advanced to state semifinals when he was a junior.
Also, Snoddy earned NYSSA Class A First Team recognition, Player of the Year, First Team All-Long Island and All-League Long Island while a Friar.
The Seawolves posted a 11-22 record and went 6-12 in Colonial Athletic Assocation action in the 2022-23 campaign.
