The Sussex County Miners have signed catcher Jason Agresti for the upcoming Frontier League 2023 season, yesterday the team Tweeted.
Agresti spent last season with the New Jersey Jackals, where he batted .287 with eight home runs and 49 RBI in 307 at-bats in 87 games. For his performance, the 26-year-old made the Frontier League All Star Team.
In the 2021 campaign, he swatted .316 with eight longballs and 39 RBI in 269 at-bats in 81 contests with the Jackles.
He is also a CAN-AM League champion, winning it with the Jackals in 2019.
Before turning professional, Agresti played for Binghamton University, where he finished his four-year career with 166 hits, 108 RBI and 50 doubles, which was second-most in program history.
The school selected Agresti as the University’s Jake Pitler Award recipient for career achievement and leadership.
The Yorktown Heights, N.Y., native attended Kennedy Catholic High School in Somers, N.Y., where he held a career batting average of .410 with 15 home runs, 125 hits and 94 RBI.
