The Gastonia Honey Hunters of the Atlantic League have acquired J.R. Davis from the Evansville Otters of the Frontier League for a player to be named later, today he Tweeted.
Davis, 28, batted .276 with six homeruns and 56 RBI in 333 at-bats in 89 games with the Otters last season. He also launched eight longballs and 56 RBI with a .316 average in 2021 with Evansville.
The St. Louis Cardinals drafted Davis in the 15th round of the 2016 MLB June Amateur Draft out of Oklahoma State University (OSU), where slugged .347 with one homer and 32 RBI in 217 at-bats in 57 contests that same season.
