Outfielder Oraj Anu and outfielder Justin Washington have both reupped with the Sussex County Miners (N.J.) for the 2023 Frontier League season, yesterday the team Tweeted.
Last season with the Miners, Anu, 24, whom the Boston Red Sox selected in the 16th round of the 2019 MLB June Amateur Draft, batted .244 with two homeruns and 14 RBI in 82 at-bats in 28 games.
Washington, whom the Los Angeles Dodgers picked in the 35th round of the 2019 MLB June Amateur Draft out of Savannah State University (Savannah, GA), launched a dinger and drove in 14 runs to go along with four stolen bases in 46 at-bats in 22 contests in 2022 with Sussex County.
Additionally, the 25-year-old totaled four homers and 25 RBI in 267 at-bats in 91 tilts between two minor league stops in the Dodgers’ system in 2019 and 2021, Arizona Rookie League Dodgers Mota and Fort Meyers of the Low-A Florida State League, respectively.
