The Sussex County Miners (N.J.) of the Frontier League have re-signed third baseman Juan Silverio for the upcoming 2023 season, today the team Tweeted.
The Miners acquired Silverio in a trade with the Tri-City ValleyCats last year. In just 38 games with Sussex County, he laced 51 hits and 29 RBI while posting a .347 batting average. He combined to put up a .298 average with 11 dingers and 64 RBI in 352 at-bats in 94 contests with both clubs.
Silverio, 31, was an All-Star in 2021 and totaled 18 homers and drove in 63 runs with a .296 batting average in two stops with the ValleyCats and Lexington Legends of the Atlantic League.
The Dominican Republic native has slugged 137 longballs and 708 RBI across 13 seasons of professional baseball.
