York Revolution manager Rick Forney today announced on WOYK 1350 Sports Radio that the team has signed left-hander Tasker Strobel and right-hander Nelvin Correa for the upcoming 2023 season.
Last season, Strobel, 27, posted a 2-3 record with a 3.42 ERA in 55.1 innings of work in 53 games with the Winnipeg Goldeneyes of the American Assocation.
Before turning professional, Strobel, 26, spent two years at now-defunct NCAA Division II St. Joseph College in Indianna, where he went 11-7 with a 3.71 ERA in 145.2 frames in 26 contests.
Correa spent 2022 with the High-A Hudson Valley Renegades, the New York Yankees’ South Atlantic League affiliate, going 2-2 with a 1.49 ERA in 42.1 innings in 28 games.
For his professional career, Correa, a Dominican Republic native, has put up a solid 23-10 mark with 2.61 ERA in 261.2 frames in 97 tilts.
