After two years with the St. Francis Brooklyn Mens’ basketball program, Xaverian High School (Brooklyn) alum Matthew Gonzalez has entered the transfer portal, today VerbalCommits.com Tweeted.
Gonzalez appeared in a total of five games in the 2022=23 campaign. He recorded six points, five rebounds, one block and one assist in 14 minutes against Medgar Evers on Dec. 14. He made one steal against Merrimack on Feb. 26. Totaled 20 minutes on the court.
The Terries posted a 14-16 overall record and went 7-9 in Northeast Conference (NEC) play this past season.
However, St. Francis will drop its athletic program after the spring semester, per the college’s athletic director Irma Garcia.
