Senior Nicole Melious led the third-seeded Wagner Falcons to a 67-57 PSAL Class “AA” quarterfinal victory over No. 6 Grand Street Campus Wolves Tuesday night at home.
Melius, who is committed to La Salle, posted a double-double of 37 points and 11 assists, to go along with seven rebounds in a winning effort.
The Staten Island, N.Y., native now has drained 1092 points on the 2022-23 campaign and 3095 points for her high school career, which includes just five games in the 2020-21 COVID-19-shortened season in her sophomore year.
The Falcons will face second-seeded East New York Family Academy in the semifinals at Queens College Sunday at 5:00 p.m. It will be a rematch of the non-league game in late January, which ENYFA won, 72-68.
