New Jersey HS Sophomore Hooper Daniella Matus Picks Up Seton Hall Offer


Daniella Matus of Morris Catholic High School (N.J.) and Team Sharp 16U squad has received a Division I offer from a school close to home, Seton Hall Womens’ basketball program, yesterday head coach William Lovett Tweeted.

Matus, an All-County and 1st team All-Conference sophomore player, also holds offers from Colgate, Pittsburgh, Monmouth, Delaware and George Washington, among interest and offers from other programs.

A pure sharpshooter, Matus has currently poured in 330 points, grabbed 104 rebounds, dished out 49 assists and made 39 thefts in 25 games thus far this season.

As freshman, the 5-foot-10 honor roll student drained 400 points, with 79 successful three-pointers, grabbed 89 rebounds and made 43 steals for the Crusaders in the 2021-22 campaign.

The Pirates are 17-11 overall and 10-8 in Big East Conference play so far this season. Seton Hall travels to Butler Friday for a 7:00 p.m. game.
