Syracuse Mens’ basketball has secured a verbal commitment from 7-foot-2 The Patrick School Celtics’ (N.J.) big man William Patterson, today national basketball recruiting analyst Dushawn London Tweeted.
In addition to the Division I Orange offer, the senior center held offers from Oklahoma State, TCU and Rutgers, per VerbalCommits.com.
According to reports, Syracuse plans to use Patterson as a shot blocker and rebounder, and hopefully the program helps him develop his offensive game as he matures and progresses.
Syracuse is 16-11 overall and 9-7 in Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) play so far this season. The Orange will travel to Clemson on Tuesday at 7:00 p.m.
