New Dorp High School defensive end Shane Gallagher today has announced, via Twitter, that he has verbally committed to Division I Wagner College (Staten Island, N.Y.) football program.
In addition to Wagner, Gallagher had offers from DIII Husson University, The College of Wooster, Beloit College and Oberlin College, plus other programs.
The Seahawks posted a 1-10 overall record and went 1-6 in Northeast Conference action in the 2022 campaign.
The Central Cougars put up a 6-1 mark during the PSAL regular season and made it to the second round of the A Conference playoffs.
