Former Cardozo High School and current Hofstra University pitcher Brian Hart has re-signed with the New Britain Bees, a member of the Futures League, a high-quality summer collegiate baseball association, yesterday the team Tweeted.
The Rosedale, N.Y., native enjoyed an excellent summer for the Bees last year. The righty finished top ten in strikeouts and innings pitched, which earned him Futures League All-Star accolades.
With the Judges, Hart posted a 4-0 record on the hill with a 0.00 ERA and 52 punchouts in his senior season. The 5-foot-10, 165-pounder only permitted three hits in 21 innings, leading the PSAL in ERA and strikeouts. At the plate, he hit .405 with two homers and 18 RBI along with five doubles, a triple and 13 stolen bases in an undefeated season.
Hart spent his freshman year at Stony Brook but did not play for the Seawolves.
The Pride went 30-23 overall and 15-9 in Colonial Athletic Assocation (CAA) conference action last season.
