Class of 2023 Cowley College (Kan.) forward Jeff Nwankwo has received an offer from Division I Marist College (N.Y.), he recently Tweeted.
This is the first D1 offer for the 6-foot6, 205-pound Nwankwo, per VerbalCommits.com, who attended Putnam City North High School, in Oklahoma City, Okal. The high-upside player transferred to Cowley from Tulane University, where he was a member of the football team. Nwankwo is averaging 10.2 points in nine tilts played so far this season.
The Red Foxes are 7-12 overall and 3-7 in Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) action so far in the 2022-23 campaign. Marist will host Siena tomorrow at 2:00 p.m. in MAAC game.
The 12-9 Tigers participate in the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) and in the Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference (KJCCC), where they are 6-9 thus far this season.
