Bayside High School football defensive back/receiver Saadiq Simpkins has verbally committed to the Division II Pace University Setters, yesterday he Tweeted.
Additionally, Simpkins held roster offer spots from D111 Rochester, Anna Maria College, Farleigh Dickinson, Kings College, and DI Wagner, per his Twitter account.
He will join former August Martin standout Isaiah Allen on the Setters come this fall.
The 6-foot2, 170-pound Simpkins played both defensive back and wide receiver for the PSAL’s Commodores, catching 15 passes for 252 yards, four touchdowns and five two-point conversions. Plus, he made 27 tackles with four interceptions and a sack on defense.
Pace posted a 6-4 overall record and went 4-3 in Northeast 10 Conference this past season.
