Wagner girls’ High School basketball team, behind Nicole Melious’ remarkable 48-point, 18 rebound, six-assist performance, took down Brooklyn High School for Law & Technology, 71-51, today in the final day of the Hoopers NY, Coaches Choice USA’s MLK Classic tournament at Wagner High School.
Junior Saniyah Wilkerson contributed 10 boards and nine dimes in the 20-point triumph.
Melious, a Division I La Salle University commit, currently sits at 712 points for the 2022-23 season, 2755 career high school points, and 245 points away from the 3,000-point milestone.
The Falcons, who were 2-0 in the tournament, improve to 16-1 overall and 9-0 in the PSAL’s Staten Island A Division, good for first place.
