St. Rose High School senior guard Julia Whesper is staying close to home, as today she announced via Twitter that she has verbally committed to Division II Georgian Court University (N.J.) basketball program.
Whesper poured in 192 points, grabbed 99 rebounds and made 41 steals in 25 games last season as a junior.
The Lions are off to a 2-6 start and will host Jefferson on Thursday at noon.
