Nicole Melious enjoyed another spectacular basketball game, posting a double-double of 45 points and 17 rebounds, as Wagner High School upended Monsignor McClancy, 66-56, Sunday at Achievement First Brooklyn in the second day of the ML Gators Thanksgiving Classic.
Melious added six assists and senior Alexis Anderson scored six points and grabbed 16 boards in the Falcons’ second non-league victory of the young season. With the 45 points, Melious breaks Wagner’s all-time scoring record, with 2,094 career points, good for number three on the Staten Island girls’ high school points list.
The Falcons travel to Port Richmond on Friday at 6:00 p.m. for its first league game of the season.
