Emma Kiley Paces St. Joe’s Womens’ Basketball in 17-point Win Over Old Westbury


Senior center Emma Kiley played one of her finest games as a Bear, scoring a season-high 17 points, grabbing 10 rebounds and blocking five shots to help St. Joseph’s College Womens’ basketball (D3) surmount SUNY College at Old Westbury, 67-50, Monday night on the road.

The victory marked the Bears’ (2-2, 1-1) first Skyline Conference win of the young season, as well as ending a two-game losing streak.

In addition to Kiley, senior guard Alexis Breen, a Union Beach, NJ., native, contributed 11 points and five boards while junior forward Destiny Hurt added 10 rebounds and nine points in the 17-point triumph.

Additionally, freshman guard Kristen Donovan added nine points, five boards and three assists and sophomore guard Grace Kennedy chipped in with eight points and six rebounds.

St. Joseph’s travels to Madison, N.J., to face Drew University on Sunday at 4:00 p.m.
