Class of 2023 Blair Academy forward and Short Hills, New Jersey native Ian Imegwu has verbally committed to Division I Cornell Men’s basketball program, yesterday VerbalCommits.com Tweeted.
In addition to Cornell’s offer, the 6-foot-9, 230-pound Imegwu held one from D1 Rider College basketball, per VerbalCommits.com.
Blair Academy head coach Joe Mantegna described Imegwu on Twitter as “a physical stretch 5, skilled lefty who had two great live period events in June and had plenty of interest from Patriots and Ivies.”
Imegwu dropped in 57 points for the Buccaneers last season.
Big Red posted a 11-25 record and went 5-16 in Ivy League action in the 2021-22 campaign.
