Division I Canisius (N.Y.) Men’s basketball program has singed Leidsche Rijn College (Netherlands) forward Youri Fritz and sophomore Michael DiGiulio, who is a Kent State transfer, the college hoops program Tweeted yesterday.
Fritz is a 6-foot-9, 190-pound freshman, while the 6-foot, 170-pound DiGiulio–who attended Williamsville South High School, in Williamsville, N.Y.–saw hardwood action in eight games across two seasons (2020-21 and 2021-22) at Kent State.
Canisius tips off the 2022-23 campaign at home on Monday, November 7th, versus Youngstown State. The Golden Griffins posted an overall 11-21 record and went 7-13 in Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MACC) play last season.
