UConn Hoops Lands Israeli Big Man Yarin Hasson


2022 Maccabi Rishon LeZion (ISL) forward Yarin Hasson has verbally committed to the Division I Connecticut Huskies Men’s basketball program, per various hoops recruiting Tweets.

Yarin Hasson verbally commits to UConn Hoops.

The 6-foot-9, 200-pound Rishon Le Zion, Israeli, native also held offers from D1 San Franciso and Denver basketball.

Hasson will be the third Israeli playing for the Huskies: Doron Sheffer (94) and Henefeld (90), per Yuval Shaham, a college recruiter and scout.

Maccabi Rishon Lezion is a basketball club based in Rishon LeZion, Israel. The club plays in the Liga Leumit, the second tier of Israeli basketball.

UConn posted a 23-10 record and went 13-6 in Big East Conference in the 2021-22 campaign.
