Class of 2024 Aquinas Institute (NY) guard/forward Mason Blackwood has received an offer from Division I University of Buffalo Men’s basketball program, yesterday he Tweeted.
Blackwood also holds offers from Sienna and Albany, per VerbalCommits.com.
Blackwood, a Rochester, N.Y., native is a gifted, developing rising junior. The 6-foot-7, 200-pounder possesses the ability to get to basket with dazzling ball-handling moves, while able to absorb, and avoid, contact, when necessary, to finish strong around the hoop.
Plus, Blackwood, who also suits up for AAU EYBL member City Rocks, owns a sweet outside jumper, is a solid passer, plays defense well, and has a sturdy frame, which should only develop more as he gets older.
The Bulls open up the season on Monday, November 7th versus Colgate at home. Buffalo had posted a 19-11 overall record and went 13-6 in Mid-American Conference action during the 2021-22 campaign.
