In addition to Pirate basketball, the 6-foot-8 Newell holds offers from Florida, Virgina Tech, Indiana, Illinois, Ole Miss, Georgia Tech and Oklahoma State, per VerbalCommits.com.
Seton Hall posted a 21-11 mark and went 11-8 in Big East Conference action in the 2021-22 campaign.
