The Wei Chuan Dragons of the CPBL in Taiwan have purchased the contract of Long Island Ducks’ right-handed pitcher Kai-Wei Lin, today Michael Pfaff Tweeted.
Lin posted a 1-2 record with 2.18 ERA in 20.2 innings in 18 contests before heading to the Dragons.
Lin was in his first season with the Ducks, first in the Atlantic League, and sixth campaign of professional baseball. The 26-year-old spent his first six seasons from 2016-2022 with the Arizona Diamondbacks organization, registering 14 wins and eight saves in 116 games (24 starts).
A native of Taiwan, he made 11 appearances with Double-A Amarillo in the Texas League to begin 2022, posting a 4.41 ERA and 18 strikeouts over 16.1 innings of work.
