2023 Olympus Prep (N.J.) center Babacar Mbengue has received an offer from the Iona Gaels Men’s basketball program, yesterday he Tweeted.

Babacar Mbengue earns Iona Gaels Hopps offer.

In addition to the Iona offer, the 7-foot, 220-pound Dakar, Senegal, native holds offers from Ole Miss, Texas Tech, Duquesne, SMU, Tulsa, Xaiver and Northfolk State, per Verbal Commits.com, as well as East Carolina and George Washington, according to 247Sports.com.

Coached by the legendary Rick Pitino, the Gaels put up a 25-8 overall record and went 17-3 in Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) action this past season.
