After a terrific freshman basketball season at Morris Catholic High School and killing it with Team Sharp’s 16U AAU squad this spring/summer, Daniella Matus is starting to garner more attention from college coaches.
Yesterday, the guard picked up her first Division I offer from George Washington Women’s basketball program.
Morris Catholic Girl’s Head Coach Billy Lovett said in a Tweet that “this is definitely the 1st of many to come.”
The 5-foot-9 Matus, a rising sophomore, drained 400 points, with 79 successful three-pointers, grabbed 89 rebounds and made 43 steals for the Crusaders in the 2021-22 campaign.
