NJAC Dubs Kean’s Rajheem Meulens Volleyball ROY; Ducan Beilke Garners All-Conference First Team Honor


Division III Kean University volleyball player Rajheem Meulens has been named the New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) Rookie of the Year, while senior Duncan Beilke earned an All-Conference first team selection, the athletics program announced yesterday on its website.

Meulens takes home his first major award with the NJAC and garners his second major award this spring after being selected the Continental Volleyball Conference (CVC) Rookie of the Year earlier this month. The freshman outside hitter totaled 239.5 points, 218 kills, 95 digs, 20 blocks and 11 aces over 28 matches. The Phillipsburg, St. Maarten native averaged 2.60 points per set, 2.37 kills per set, 1.03 digs per set and a .278 hitting percentage over 92 sets played. Meulens was a four-time NJAC Rookie of the Week selection.

Beilke earns his first all-conference selection after being named to the first team. The senior opposite side hitter totaled 396.5 points, 339 kills, 117 digs, 51 blocks and 30 aces over 28 matches. The Madison, Wis., native averaged 4.05 points per set, 3.46 kills per set, 1.19 digs per set, 0.52 blocks per set and a .210 hitting percentage over 98 sets played. During the season, Beilke named the NJAC Player of the Week.
