Pitman, N.J. (4/11/22) – Kean sophomore righty hurler Nolan Rowan has been named Division III New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) Pitcher of the Week, the conference announced on Monday.
Rowan was dubbed NJAC Pitcher of the Week after firing a complete game, two-hit 9-0 shutout against Stockton (N.J.) over the weekend, carrying a perfect game into the fifth inning. The High Point Regional High School product struck out nine, walked none, and faced just two batters over the minimum to pick up his fourth win of the season.
Rowan–a Bracnville, N.J., native–currently ranks second among NJAC pitchers in opposing batting average (.158) and fourth in ERA (2.43).
The Cougars. who won the second contest, 8-1, swept the doubleheader against Stockon on Saturday.
