The Lexington Legends of the independent Atlantic League of Professional Baseball (ALPB) have signed former Cincinnati Reds outfielder Phillip Ervin for the upcoming 2022 campaign, today the team announced on Twitter.
Ervin played four seasons of Major League Baseball (MLB) with the Reds and Seattle Mariners. The 29-year-old batted .247 with 17 home runs and 68 RBI in 586 at-bats in 237 games.
He last played with the Triple-A Gwinnett Stripers in 2021, hitting eight longballs and driving in 28 runs in 229 at-bats in 85 contests.
Ervin slashed .250/.344/.404/.748 with 69 dingers and 351 RBI in 2455 at-bats in 699 tilts for his minor league career.
