The Staten Island FerryHawks of the Atlantic League of Professional Baseball (ALPB) have conducted their first trade in franchise history, as they have acquired right-handed pitcher Victor Capellan from the York Revolution for a player-to-be-named-later, today the club announced on Twitter.
Capellan, who was born in Monte Cristi, Dominican Republic, has spent 14 seasons in pro baseball: seven years in affiliated minor leagues and seven between independent and foreign associations.
The Bronx, N.Y., resident, who throws sidearm, has posted a 32-34 record with a 3.77 ERA during that time span.
