Nicholas Fonseca of August Martin Commits to D3 Buffalo State Football

August Martin Football defensive lineman Nicholas Fonseca has verbally committed to Division III Buffalo State, yesterday he Tweeted. The Bengals will hold a roster spot for Fonseca for the 2022 season.

The 6-foot, 270-pound Fonseca, who sports a 3.0 GPA, was an integral part of a lockdown defense which helped lead the PSAL Cup Conference Falcons to a 7-0 league record and the playoffs, the first for Head Coach Kyle Allen at the school.

He made 35 tackles, 16 for a loss, five sacks, and two fumble recoveries, one of which he returned for a touchdown.

Buffalo State posted a 0-10 overall record and went 0-6 in State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) action in the 2021-22 campaign.
