St. Joseph Hill Junior forward Elizabeth Bennett led all scorers with 20 points, as the host Koloas defeated Maria Regina (N.Y.), 62-43, Sunday afternoon in a varsity Catholic High School Athletic Assocation (CHSAA) girls’ basketball Tier-2 league game.
St. Joseph improves to 18-5 overall and 12-2 in the CHSAA, while Maria Regina drops to 11-6 overall.
The junior varsity Koloas won their contest against Maria Regina, 51-24, Sunday at home. They finished their season with a 17-3 overall record and went 13-2 in league action, breeding more hope into the program’s future.
St. Joesph Hill hosts St. Catherine’s Academy tomorrow at noon in its season finale.
