Chatham Girls’ Basketball Cruises to Victory Behind Freshman’s 24 Points


Freshman Ella Kreuzer poured in a game-high 24 points in Chatham’s 64-53 road victory over St. Benedict’s Prep Monday night, to make it two straight for the Cougars.

Chatham (13-8) had an additional three players in double-digit scoring figures, as junior guard Riley Allen scored 12 points, followed by senior forward Carly Frohnapfel and freshman guard Mia Semioli, who dropped in 11 apiece.

The Cougars made six three-pointers in the win.

Junior Joniyah Bland- Fitzpatrick led the Grey Bees (5-7) with 16 points.

Chatham hosts Sparta tomorrow at 7:00 p.m. before facing top-seeded Morris Catholic in the semifinals of the Morris County Tournament at the County College of Morris on Friday at 6:30 p.m.
