2022’s Best, Worst Cities for Football Enthusiasts, Per WalletHub.com


With Super Bowl LVI right around the corner, the personal-finance website WalletHub today released its Super Bowl LVI By The Numbers infographic together with its report on 2022’s Best & Worst Cities for Football Fans, as well as accompanying videos and expert commentary.

To determine the best places and worst for loving, or not, on America’s favorite sport, WalletHub compared more than 240 U.S. cities with at least one college or professional football team based on 21 key metrics, which can be found on the full study here.

The data set ranges from the number of NFL and college football teams to stadium capacity to fan engagement.

The best city for gridiron action turns out to be Pittsburgh, Penn, home of NFL’s Steelers and University of Pittsburg Panthers.

The worst city? St. George, Utah, home to Dixie State University, soon to be Utah Tech University, per Salt Lake Tribune.

New York City came in at the number six spot.
