Behind 26 points and 11 rebounds from sophomore Amir Hughes, Fannie Lou Hamer Boys’ Basketball captured the PSAL’s Bronx B III Division with the 55-47 road win Friday night at South Bronx Prep (12-2).
Panther juniors Kahlil Lloyd and Jeremie Hernadez contributed 12 and eight points, respectively. South Bronx Prep had previously beat Fannie Lou Hamer, 45-38, in late January before the Panters exacted revenge in its last regular season tilt of year.
Fannie Lou Hamer finished the regular season with an 18-3 overall record and went 15-1 in league play.
