Behind a double-double of 42 points and 15 rebounds, junior Nicole Melious led Wagner girls’ basketball to a 74-65 victory over host Francis Lewis (11-4, 11-3) Thursday night in a PSAL non-league game.
Melious, who is verbally committed to Georgia Tech, added six assists in the win.
After beating the Lady Patriots, a Class “AA” team, the Lady Falcons are now 17-3 overall and 11-0 in Staten Island league play.
Wagner travels to Tottenville for a Staten Island league contest on Wednesday at 6:00 p.m.
After that affair, the Lady Falcons have two league tilts and one non-league game remaining on the regular season schedule before the postseason begins.
