Paulina Paris, a senior guard, proved why she is one of the best high school female basketball players in the state of New Jersey.
Paris drained 29 points and dished out 14 assists in Saddle River Day’s 85-51 over Ewing Monday at the Hoopers NY Martin Luther King Tournament at Moore Catholic High School in Staten Island (NY).
For her outstanding efforts, Hoopers NY tournament officials named Paris the game’s MVP.
Freshman guard Faith Williamson chipped in with 18 points while senior guard Cierra Pearson added nine in the Rebels’ (9-0) win.
Rhian Stokes scored a team-high 27 points, grabbed six rebounds, and made six steals for Ewing (8-1) while sophomore Te’Yala Delfosse followed with 13 points and nine boards.
Sophomore forward/center Joi Johnson pulled down a game-best 12 boards for the Lady Blue Devils.
