2024 Aquinas Institute (N.Y.) guard/forward Mason Blackwood has received an offer from Division I Siena Men’s Basketball program, today his Head Coach, Jeffrey LaFave, Tweeted.
The Sienna offer is the first for the 6-foot-6, 200-pound Blackwood.
Blackwood is a talented player beyond his youth. He possesses the ability to get to basket with slick ball-handling moves, while able to absorb, and avoid, contact, when necessary, to finish strong around the hoop.
Plus, Blackwood, who also suits up for AAU EYBL member City Rocks, owns a nice outside jumper, is a solid passer, plays defense well, and has a sturdy frame, which should only develop more as he gets older.
The Saints are 6-6 overall and 3-1 in the Metro Athletic Athletic Conference (MAAC) so far this season.
